Since May 2016, the single brand screen.brussels has brought together all the regional support services for its audiovisual industry:

  • The funding of traditional or innovative audiovisual productions that incur all or part of their audiovisual expenditure in the Brussels region: screen.brussels fund,
  • Support for companies in their creation, growth and internationalisation screen.brussels cluster,
  • Logistics support for filming: obtaining permits, help with scouting for sets/locations, accommodations, etc. screen.brussels film commission,
  • The structural funding of growing Brussels audiovisual companies through traditional or convertible loans screen.brussels business.

Thanks to these four entities, each part of a distinct regional agency, screen.brussels strengthens an eco-system that helps create jobs and gives Brussels companies visibility on the international scene.

As part of hub.brussels, screen.brussels cluster is the gateway for all audiovisual entrepreneurs in the region. We provide support and expertise to help entrepreneurs handle formalities for development, production and co-production, financing, distribution and sales according to their actual needs. screen.brussels cluster also advises people with audiovisual projects in their search for partners and international opportunities.

screen.brussels fund offers financial support to audiovisual productions which spend (part of) their budget within the Brussels-Capital Region. Our goal is to help develop the Brussels-Capital Region’s audiovisual industry in ways that can benefit all European filmmakers.

The main mission of the screen.brussels film commission is to facilitate all types of filming in the Brussels region. As part of visit.brussels, it has been serving as an interface between location managersn local and regional authorities since 2005. Concretely, it analyses the feasibility of filming projects, helps to get the permits, forwards parking space reservations, scouts for sets and locations and answers any questions related to filming. It is also in charge of promoting the region as a location during major industry events.

As part of the Brustart subsidiary (finance&invest.brussels, SRIB Group), screen.brussels business is a new funding line exclusively dedicated to Brussels audiovisual companies. screen.brussels business offers funding solutions such as loans to companies that create, produce, post-produce, distribute, broadcast and archive all types of content for all types of audiovisual formats (television, film, computers, tablets, smartphones, etc.).
