Olivier Rausin is a producer and CEO of Climax Films. After studying cinema, he began his career in 1992 as a production manager and executive producer before becoming a producer in 1994. He has since produced more than 50 films, including 32 Belgian and international feature films.
In 2004, he founded Climax Films, which quickly established itself as one of Belgium's leading film production companies.
His productions for both arthouse cinema and films for the wide audience have always been recognised for their qualities and many of them have been very successful with the public. Numerous films have received awards and prestigious nominations at events such as the Globe Globes, César, Magritte, European Film Awards or festivals such as Cannes, Berlin, Venice, Toronto, Montreal, ...
His filmography includes films such as " Le Tout Nouveau Testament " and " Mr. NOBODY "directed by Jaco Van Dormael, " Black " by Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah, " Séraphine " by Martin Provost, " Les Émotifs Anonymes " by Jean-Pierre Améris and " Largo Winch II " by Jérôme Salle.
In 2008, he created Big Bang Distribution, a company dedicated to film distribution, in 2013 he decided to close the activity to strengthen the production division by founding "Après le Déluge", a French production company with Jaco Van Dormael and Daniel Marquet.
He is one of the founding members of the VOD platform, UniversCiné.be of which he was once the President. For 2 years, he was a member of the Belgian Film Selection Commission for production support, and he taught and shared his production experiences at the Haute École Libre de Bruxelles HELB-INRACI.
He has followed several training courses through the Media programmes of the European Commission and the Erich Pommer Institut (Berlin) and is currently pursuing various training courses oriented towards the writing and production of television series through the MediaXchange programme.
He is a member of the UPFF (Union des Producteurs de Film Francophones) and EPC (European Producers Club) associations.
